Milena Musial
I’m a final year ECN and BCCN PhD student with Florian Schlagenhauf in the Learning & Cognition Lab at Charité Berlin.
The main questions that spark my curiosity at the moment are: How do we learn from our environment and represent what we have learned in our brains? When and how are neural representations of physical and abstract relationships (“cognitive maps”) learned incrementally or in a single shot? What defines a “state” in such a cognitive map? And finally, how does the brain encode, store, and retrieve context-dependent cognitive maps?
Methods-wise, I mostly work with task-based behavioral and fMRI data and use computational modeling, model-based fMRI analyses, and representational similarity analysis to make sense of these data.
If you’re interested in what I’ve done so far, you can find my CV here .
